Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data Madeira Days processes and why.

Data we collect

We do not require registration and we do not sell personal data. If you contact us by email, we use your message only to reply.

When you click an affiliate link, the affiliate network and the booking platform may set cookies to attribute the booking. These cookies are governed by their own privacy policies.

Analytics: if you accept cookies in the banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure visits and which pages and links are used, with IP addresses truncated by Google. Advertising features are disabled. If you reject, no Google tags are loaded. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) last up to 14 months. If you have accepted, when you follow a link to a booking partner we also pass Awin (our affiliate network) the pseudonymous Analytics ID of your visit, so that a resulting booking can be counted in our statistics; it contains no name, email or payment data.

Advertising

Some pages may show ads served by Google (Google AdSense, Google Ireland Ltd.). Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, limit how often you see them and measure their performance, including ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for their consent before any advertising cookies are used; without consent, only non-personalised or limited ads are shown. You can turn off personalised advertising at any time in Google's Ad Settings, and read how Google uses data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Third-party vendors' use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to the address on our contact page.
